Allstate Insurance company released its eighth annual “America’s Best Drivers Report” this week, and Orlando received some discouraging news.
According to Allstate claims data, Orlando ranked 158 out of the 200 largest U.S. cities in terms of a driver’s likelihood in being involved in a car accident. The study indicates that, on average, an Orlando resident will be involved in a car accident once every 7.8 years. This is 28.8% higher than the national average.
Despite the frequency of crashes in cities across the country, Allstate’s data reveals that wrongful deaths from car accidents are at their lowest level since 1949.
This study confirms what we already tell all Florida drivers — be aware of other drivers around you, and be sure to carry the maximum amount of Uninsured Motorists insurance coverage you can afford.
