We have been receiving emails and calls from clients - and potential clients - wondering what they should do about medical care in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic that has most of us stuck in our homes.

Not only are people stuck in their homes, but many people are - very justifiably - hesitant to visit hospitals or emergency rooms.  After all, there are a lot of sick people in hospitals right now, and hospitals are probably best-served focusing their efforts on treating people who are suffering with COVID-19.

We are encouraging people to stay away from hospitals and emergency rooms right now.

Equally challenging is the fact that many doctors' offices, clinics, and surgery centers are shut down right now.  It is our understanding that most surgeons have been encouraged to put off non-emergency surgeries and other invasive procedures for the time being.

A Few Doctors Are Seeing Accident Patients

We have been contacted by several doctors' offices and clinics throughout Central Florida who have let us know that they ARE staying open and treating patients during these strange times.  They are taking precautions in order to keep patients safe, so appointments are not as plentiful and available as normal.

In the event that you cannot make it in to see a doctor, or you just don't feel safe leaving your home to visit a doctor's office, don't forget that there are many home exercises that you can do to keep your symptoms at bay while we wait out this Stay-At-Home Order.  You should refer to the materials that your doctor or physical therapist provided to you.  In the event that you cannot find those, there are plenty of physical therapy videos available on YouTube that should help.

If you are having issues with any of this stuff -- we want to help.  Please do not hesitate to call us (407-254-4901) or text us (407-644-4444) and we will give you the most up-to-date information that we have.
