While I must say I am not a doctor and I don’t have any specialized medical knowledge regarding radiculopathy, I have seen a lot of cases of radiculopathy in my 25 years of practicing personal injury law. Radiculopathy is an injury to the disks in the spinal cord. Symptoms often include numbness and tingling in the hands, fingers, toes, or legs. It can even present itself as a burning sensation. Doctors can detect the injury by doing an MRI or diagnostic testing.

When a client is diagnosed with radiculopathy it requires a more significant treatment plan which makes the case go from a minor injury to a more severe injury. Doctors will treat the radiculopathy with medication and/or physical therapy. The medications can include injections into the plaintiff’s spine and if the medication, injections and physical therapy do not improve the injury then surgery is usually recommended. If surgery is recommended that will increase the value of the case even more.
