The Orlando Sentinel is reporting the tragic death of William Andrew Townsend in a three-car motor vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 17 in Volusia County.  Apparently, Florentino Villanueva was operating his 2003 GMC truck northbound on Highway 17, when he crashed into the rear end of a Toyota Camry.  For some reason, Mr. Villanueva’s GMC was caused to travel to the left, into oncoming traffic.

Unfortunately, it was Mr. Townsend who was traveling south in his Ford F-350 truck.  His vehicle was hit on the driver’s side, causing his death.

As Florida automobile accident attorneys, who have seen more than our fair share of crash-related deaths, our hearts go out to the family of Mr. Townsend.  The wrongful death of a loved one is always tragic but made much worse when it happens in a flash, like in a car accident.

It is our hope that all drivers learn from crashes like this one to use a little more care that next time they drive.
