The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that a 19-year old motorcyclist from Virginia Beach, Virginia, was involved in a very bad automobile versus motorcycle intersection collision this afternoon in St. Cloud.

Apparently, the biker was crossing southbound lanes of Boggy Creek Road at Borinquen Drive when his motorcycle was hit by a Volkswagen Passat driven by a Kissimmee man.

The motorcyclist was unfortunately thrown from his bike by the collision, and seriously injured. He was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

While the identity of the motorcyclist has not yet been reported, as an Orlando accident attorney, my heart goes out to his family members over their loss. Although there has been a lot of publicity in Florida with the “Look, Look, and Look Again” campaign, drivers still need to be reminded of the critical importance of looking out for motorcycles.
